Question
Hello! I recently got a Saitek ST290 Pro joystick which works great in games like IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946 and Freespace 2, but Star Wars: TIE Fighter (1995 Collector's CD-ROM running in DOSBox) apparently expects a sliding throttle and does not recognize a throttle that acts as a joystick axis. Apparently the default for a throttle slider would be to set the engine power at fixed intervals of 0%, 33%, 66%, and 100% as the throttle control was moved past those values, corresponding with the keyboard controls backslash, left bracket, right bracket, and backspace respectively. I've tried using distance slots to replicate this behavior, but the problem is when I leave the throttle in any position but zero it holds the corresponding button in AntiMicroX which causes the little beep that plays when you change your throttle to play constantly. Is there a good way to map a joystick position to only a single button press until it is moved to the next threshold?
