When Nautilus is installed on a fresh Debian installation running on WSL, the preferences do not work as expected. When changing an option, it instantly switches back.
I searched for the error message written in the terminal and found a solution that worked for me: installing dbus-x11.
So, sudo apt install dbus-x11 -y. Nautilus also behaves as configured. I did not further research or testing.
IMHO, this could be added as a Note or Information pane. But feel free to decline my input.
PS: Thank you all very much for the incredible work done with/on WSL. Its amazing 😄.
