I understand that Caucus uses y-websocket as a provider to enable collaboration. However, I notice that the collaboration piece works fine only within the same computer system but not between two different systems. I would like to know if this is expected.
To elaborate, I open the Caucus tool (https://caucus.netlify.app/) and login as a guest into the public room. I then open the same URL on different tabs/non-incognito windows on the same machine. In this case, whatever I type on one of the tabs appears on the rest automatically. However, if I open the URL on another system and log into the public room as a guest, the new system does not show what I type on the other system.
Is this expected? Is it a limitation of y-websocket? Or a deliberate design decision for public rooms?
