May it possible to enable the "autoscrolldown" on *.log files?
It would be fine, if the autoscroll does work on inactive Tabs, too.

The new version, v1.2.0 also scrolls into view upon switching back to them documents from inactive tabs that were updated in the meanwhile. I'm still sleeping on the list of custom extensions / regexes though. Do you have a specific case for this change?

I have come across this missing feature (the first one - autoenable for *.log) when monitoring some process's log file in a split editor in a new VS Code environment.

I don't particularly like "autoscrolldown.allFiles": true, for one because it's a non-default option I have to set any time I install the extension in a new environment. I would find it useful default behavior if autoscrolldown started working for some file types (definitely including .log!) out of the box.

That would also improve the first-time user experience.

Oh yes, and of course the split-window use case illustrates the problem with inactive tabs not scrolling to the end...
Even with

    "autoscrolldown.allFiles": true,
    "autoscrolldown.onlyWhenAtEnd": false,

the split, inactive editors do not scroll - this is a deal breaker for me, unfortunately.
