Block achievements from being unlocked entirely

Sometimes i'd like to play a game without having to think about achievements. Would be nice if the app could disable them from being unlocked entirely rather than just hiding them. Or maybe there's some way of editing my computer's hosts file to do this? Honestly any way of doing it would be great. It's gotta be some sort of API call right...any way to block it?

I realize I can "re-lock" all the achievements I unlocked while playing, but steam will still track my percentage finished in the game even if I "re-lock" everything if I at some point unlocked even 1 achievement.
