Support return of neighboring/adjacents polygons?

At the moment, the solution supports the children and the ancestor of a particular area.

Some years ago, I was impress by this blog post from AirBNB where they do more or less the same as this project (not only with administrative units) but are not based on OpenStreetMap data and where adjacent polygons are displayed.
From my viewpoint when I'm in an unknown place, I would like to know the nearest area near the one I'm am and not only where I am at all levels (administrative)

What do you have in mind ?

• An "adjacent zones" block in the sidebar that contains the detail of a zone ?
• To display the adjacent zones on the map when one zone is selected ?
• Both ?

Feel free to experiment, we will be very happy to accept a pull request with an improved design ;)
