Hi Steka,
I know this is from a while back, but I had the same question as I had to resort to just making screenshots. But for me, I just made a local folder called in my md2pdf folder and named it images. So when I grabbed some markdown that had images on it, I just make sure they were pointed to the folder and worked for me. Such as: ![image-1](./images/some-image.png) then image-2 and son on. Hope this helps a year later.
