The current save icon, I feel it is actually a download file icon. Since so many people associate the floppy classic as save since it has been and still is being used in many programs and places, I think this should be added in for good UI/UX design since most users will recognize it (still keep the existing icon though!). Also nice floppy, I think the edge on the right is too long? Something does look strange, just not sure what 😄 |

Still with v2 there's no save icon.... but they must agree the old save looked more like a download icon now that has been removed. |

Been watching this in the background, I will definitely upvote any PR for a floppy. Yours look pretty good. Floppy photo: https://imageio.forbes.com/specials-images/imageserve/5f3545995dc16a259697d3c2/Floppy-disk/960x0.jpg?format=jpg&width=960 The shutter isn't wide enough (because the cut is too deep) makes it look slightly off, also cut is supposed to be on the right if you look at the front where the label is (front). Edit: shutter, not data access cover. Hub not tape turning doohicky lol. We use the standard 3.5in floppy as save icon usually for reference (most prevalent and final version of the floppy to be successful). |

It's been months. No one that maintains this is paying attention. Best to
just look elsewhere for this icon.

not as clean as heroicons but here is Icons8 which is probably closest but also font awesome (you can just copy the svg instead of the whole set and notation they use). Flaticon/Flat-icons is nice as well. There is also feather icons. Other alternatives: https://alternativeto.net/software/heroicons/ |

Lucide Icons seems to be the best bet, at least for me: https://github.com/lucide-icons/lucide. Entirely community made, too. |

Just used a circle with a checkmark for my use case, not great but gets the
job done.

There's a floppy disk save icon now. EDITI am now realizing I wrote this comment on the repo for heroicons when I thought it was the repo for lucide icons. Derp. For people reading this, I highly recommend you look into lucide icons as it's very similar but with more icons and more active development. |

If I were to provide an icon set, a classic and recognisable 'Save' icon would be among the most important and firsts added. So yeah, the 'Floppy' icon would be greatly appreciated |
