Application Setup Guide

Application Setup

After logging into Gazee for the first time, you will be presented with a blank dashboard.

Use the menu button in the top right to jump to your Settings page to begin getting setup.

Server Settings

Each time you come to the settings, you'll be greeted with this page

Note Anytime you save settings, the application will restart in the background to apply the settings, if you change a port or SSL Settings, you'll need to update your URL to reflect that.

The Settings you can change are fairly straightforward:

  • Port

This is the port the app runs on.

Default: 4242

  • Comics Per Page

This changes the number of issues that will appear on a single page in the dashboard, search and in the library. I've found the default of 15 to be sane and pleasing for most devices, but you can alter this how you wish.

Default: 15

  • Comic Library Path

This is the root path of where your comics live. Feed it the full system path and Gazee will handle the rest.

Default: Blank

  • Comic Scan Interval

This is how often Gazee will attempt to scan your comic library for new directories and comics. Set in Minutes.

Default: 60

  • Mylar DB Path

If you use Mylar, you can feed Gazee the path to its DB and it can help to properly identify comics when you do a Comic Scan.

  • SSL Cert Path

If you wish to use SSL(recommended), then place the full path to your cert here.

Note, after setting SSL Settings, you can only access Gazee via https:// links. Both HTTP and HTTPS can't currently be supported at the same time.

  • SSL Key Path

If you've set the above, then place your SSL Key path here.

User Settings

Under here you can do everything you would expect as far as user management goes.

Change your current password and add new users.

New users can be either Admins or Users. Only Admins can see the Settings Page.

System Operations

Under here is where you can do basic state management of the app.

Restart, Shutdown and Update.
