In the Ecma General Assembly that took place in December 11th, TC55 (a.k.a. WinterTC) was formed, which will take over the operations of WinterCG. This commit updates the website to reflect this change.

Great job updating this consistently.

(Why does anyone like Tailwind?)

Let's not delete the partner logos yet! We could just make the wording more ambiguous, like "WinterTC and previous WinterCG work included participation from:". Then we can contact these groups and try to get them involved again, and maybe winnow down the logo list later.

For some of those groups (at the very least Alibaba and Vercel), the individuals who had contributed to WinterCG are no longer working there, and as far as I know there's no one currently involved who's part of them.

Sure, but we should be in contact with the organization before removing their logo. This may motivate them to continue, rather than feeling like they've been kicked out.

Using this comment to ping the relevant folks. For context: WinterCG is moving to Ecma as TC55 (a.k.a. WinterTC). More info here: wintercg/admin#73 (comment). For an organization to be part of WinterTC going forward, it would either mean that the organization would need to be part of Ecma, or that the members of the organization that take part in WinterTC would need to be Ecma invited experts.

ByteDance (cc @XadillaX) and Shopify (cc @igrigorik) are already members of Ecma, so we would just need them to confirm that you'd be continuing to be part of WinterTC. Alibaba and Vercel are also Ecma members, but their employees who had been taking part in WinterCG don't seem to be working there anymore – @legendecas, @southpolesteve, do you know who we should ping?

As for Fastly (cc @guybedford), Netlify (cc @eduardoboucas), Suborbital (cc @flaki) and Azion (cc @VitorAEltz), they're not members of Ecma, but if they want to continue to participate in WinterTC, we can make some of their employees invited experts. Please let us know if so.

@jasnell What do we do about the Node.js logo?

participants to either belong to an Ecma member or be an invited
expert. However, keep the spirit of openness, we plan to invite
anyone who does not belong to an Ecma member as an invited expert,
so that anyone is free to participate.

Let's emphasize processes for getting involved rather than starting with closed-ness. At the same time, let's not explicitly promise that we'll let everyone in.

This section in the FAQ is meant to be about the change from WinterCG to WinterTC and the differences between them. There should definitely be a section on how to get involved that covers things you can do without becoming a member, but I don't think it should be here.

Should I remove this paragraph, then?

I am suggesting something distinct from removing it (see next comment)
